Gold plating is a thin layer of gold that is bonded onto a base metal, such as brass or stainless steel. It's a popular alternative to traditional jewelry but is often unaffordable and outdated due to fast fashion's impact on society.

Since our jewelry is gold-plated, as long as the layer of gold is not damaged, it is hypoallergenic. However, if the metal under is stainless steel, you may not worry about allergic reactions. Instead, if the metal under is brass be careful if you have had a history of allergic reactions to third metals. You can find types of metal on individual product pages.

Gold-plated jewelry doesn't simply lose color by contact with water or other substances, unlike bijoux. If the base metal of the piece is stainless steel, it will not tarnish at all. The gold layer won't wear off for approximately two years or even longer, depending on your care. For maintaining its original condition, you must limit its exposure to harsh liquids and clean it after that occurred.

Don’t forget to remove items before your regular exercises and shower. Likewise, take your jewelry off before swimming in pools, hot tubs, or the sea. We recommend putting on the jewels last to avoid direct contact with the perfumes, lotions, and hair products.

However, we recommend you to measure your ring size following these steps:

1. Find a piece of paper no wider than 1.4 cm (1/2 inch).

2. Wrap it around the base of the appropriate finger.

3. Use a pen to mark the point on the string/paper where it overlaps, forming a complete circle.

4. Measure the length from the starting end of the paper to the pen mark.

5. Match the size with the indicated on the individual product page.
